Hello!

My name is Arlene Constantino

I'm an electrical engineering student at University of California San Diego. I'm interested in power engineering and electronic circuit design. When not in school, I'm either exploring, hiking, taking pictures with my film camera, or hanging out with my family and friends.

My
Story

I'm a first-generation immigrant from the Philippines. My family and I moved here in California when I was seventeen. I graduated high school in Torrance High School. However, I spent most of my high school years in Cavite State University - Laboratory Science High School in the Philippines, where I was exposed to the rigorous science, math, and research classes. My dream to be an engineer started because of my fascination in technology and my interest in math and programming classes.

While in Torrance High School, I was able to take a Principles Engineering Tech course, which is also a concurrent enrollment at El Camino College. I learned basic engineering principles and skills like building a marble-sorting robot. And after graduation, I got an internship at L-3 Electron Technologies Inc. I worked closely with the maintenance team and was introduced to soldering, troubleshooting motherboards, reading schematics, and using electronics test bench equipment. These experiences solidified my interest in engineering, specifically in electrical engineering.

Now, I'm pursuing my electrical engineering degree with a depth on power engineering and electronic circuits and systems at UCSD. I'm hoping to work in either space, semiconductor, or renewable energy industry in the near future.
